Humans need to interact with nature and other humans to feel alive. God did not design humans in such a way that they stay in one place. Humans need to change their place.

However, in these challenging times, we need to fight the odds and conquer our biggest fear of never living a healthy life again. This article will tell you how you can take care of your mental and physical health.

To effectively deal with the pandemic, the first thing you need to do is digest the situation. You need to understand that children’s homeschooling, unemployment, physical distance from family members, and friends are temporary. Since it is temporary, you do not need to lose hope and wait for the better times to come.

Nevertheless, the pandemic is giving you time to retreat. You can do all things that you put aside because you did not have time. You can adapt to a simpler lifestyle.

Looking around, I notice that some people feel excessively overwhelmed due to the pandemic. On the other hand, some people are not taking it too lightly. Both the mindsets are extreme, and it is not right. Excessive fear can damage your mental health, and excessive lenience can affect your health. Therefore, you need to take a middle road and balance the unwanted situation with a good mindset.

Excessive screen time affects your mental and physical health on a different level. Since we are in a pandemic, excessive phone use increased exponentially. Moreover, everywhere on social media and news, you hear sad news, which can negatively affect your mental health. Therefore, try cutting your screen time and try interacting with your family. Spend time with them. Alternatively, you can invest your time in searching for your special skill. You can also try meditating for you have a lot of time on your hand.

I am investing all this free time in myself. I am keeping track of my personal physical and mental health. I am meditating, exercising, and preparing my food. I am cutting all the toxic habit I had. Nevertheless, I am trying to connect with my family. I am trying to understand the dynamics. For this reason, I think the pandemic has come in my life as a blessing. It is giving me all this time to get my priorities straight.

Another best thing you can do to protect yourself from the virus is sanitizing and disinfecting everything that brings into the house and all the home’s High-touch points. In my opinion, washing then sanitizing is the best way to disinfect items.

The next best step that you can take is to separate your indoors and outdoors shoes. Your shoes carry various germ, bacteria, and viruses. Nevertheless, your shoes probably carry the COVID-19 virus. It is a prudent step.

Sanitize your walls, switches, floors, dishes, clothes, and all high-touch points of your house regularly. You never know what part of your house carries the virus. For this reason, you must sanitize all these points in your home.

The best way to sanitize your floor is by scrubbing it with the help of harsh chemicals. Alternatively, you can also mix a cup of vinegar in a gallon of water and clean your floors with the solution. It is a less severe and natural solution.

Another way to protect yourself from the virus is by gearing up your immune system. The best way to do that is by consuming immunity drinks and supplements. Make sure that you are eating well during the pandemic. For this reason, your immunity is the only thing that will help you fight the virus right now.

Nutrients like vitamin C, zinc, proteins, fatty acids, amino acids, irons, vitamin D, and many other nutrients are available via supplements, drinks, or foods.

In case any of your family members fall sick, you need to quarantine them in a separate room with all the essentials. It will be ideal if the room has its washroom. Make sure that the room consistently stays sanitized and clean. It would help if you felt them simpler, rich in nutrients foods.
